I had such a wonderful time at Bonnie’s dumpling-making class! From the moment I arrived, it felt like visiting family. Bonnie welcomed me into her cosy home, where her lovely mom also joined in. The table was set with tea, fruits, and snacks, which instantly made me feel at ease. We started with a short, fun history of dumplings before making them from scratch—dough, fillings, and different folding styles. Both Bonnie and her mom were so patient, sweet, and encouraging throughout. While the dumplings cooked, Bonnie set up a table filled with several homemade dishes and drinks—everything fresh, authentic, and made with care. It turned into a real feast, paired with wonderful conversation. The whole experience was warm, homey, and unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something genuine and personal—it’s much more than just a cooking class, it’s like being welcomed into a family.

Bonnie was extremely nice and taught us well. It was a very cozy atmosphere and we had a great experience. We got to try different chinese foods in addition to the dumplings we made.

I rarely write reviews but Bonnie was simply amazing and the entire experience was too good to not celebrate it. Right from the time I booked, Bonnie communicated with me with clear instructions, lots of care and made a real effort to let me know I was a valued guest. The class is well thought out, it’s casual, relaxed, and simple…. Which means it’s not intimidating! We had so much fun learning about the food we were making and each other. I highly recommend this if you want a truly local experience!

It was a good experience, especially getting to do in the home of guide with her and her mother. Booking was a bit confusing - details lacking of agenda and payment - but pointed out to guide and she said she was correcting. She covered alot of material - even had a ted talk video on dumpling making and several maps to show regions for reference. Class went over 3 hrs - closer to 4 and she had a very big spread of additional traditional foods besides the dumplings, which was beyond expectations. Only reason I didn't rate higher is she is a bit scattered, as she as only been doing this 8 months and her mom was visiting and there was alot of chatter between them, which none of us understood the language, but the tone was sometimes offputting.

It was amazing! Bonnie was accommodating and super welcoming. It was really like a family cooking workshop with her mom who was also there. I was lucky to be alone that day, so we could take the time to sit down and chat. I highly recommend the experience.

Very warm welcome, they are wonderful people; however, be sure to read the description carefully because the activity costs a minimum of €47, or 400 RMB. For absent-minded people like me, you'll be in for a nasty surprise at the end of the activity.
