Objective: To find out the best predictor of metabolic syndrome(MS) in phlegm-dampness syndrome of PCOS. Methods: The prediction value of MS was compared by analyzing the ROC curves of MS components, the ratio of four lipoproteins and LAP. Results: The incidence of each component of the metabolic syndrome in patients with phlegm-dampness syndrome of PCOS from high to low were as follows: abdominal obesity, dyslipidemia, abnormal blood pressure, impaired fasting glucose. ApoB/ApoA, LDL/HDL, LAP, TG/HDL, TC/HDL were positively correlated with DBP, WC, BMI, FBG, 2 h PG, HOMA-IR, FINS, 2 h INS, TG, TC, LDL and ApoB, with a negative correlation with ApoA and HDL, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The AUC and Youden index of TG/HDL were respectively 0.89 and 0.66, which was the maximum value, and the value of MS diagnosis was the highest. Compared with the AUC of TG/HDL, TG, TC/HDL, HDL, LDL/HDL and LAP five indicators were statistically different(P<0.05). Conclusion: TG/HDL had the highest predictive value for the occurrence of MS in patients with phlegm-dampness. Especially when cut-off value of TG/HDL is ≥1.53, timely intervention should be taken to avoid the occurrence of MS and improve the quality of life.
